Cosby are a friendly, family Rugby Union Club started in 1988 and who are embarking on their nineteenth season of rugby. Situated to the South of Leicester, we currently run two sides. Last season (2006-2007) the senior team established itself in Division 2 of the Leicestershire League after promotion the previous season.

The Seniors have had another strong season and with a couple of weeks to go are ranked high in the league. This season has also seen us establish a 2nd side which will hopefully have a full fixture list next year. Senior sides train Thursday nights with the sessions being held on our own floodlit training area on Victory Park, in the heart of the village, starting at 7 0’ clock. The club has 6 coaches holding RFU badges, providing variety to sessions. Cosby has players of all standards, newcomers and beginners are always warmly welcomed.

Being a family orientated club, as would be expected we run a thriving Junior /Mini section. Catering for age groups 7, 8, 9 and 10's.

This season we have seen a substantail increse in the numbers across all age groups and have put Cosby firmly on the map in the Leicestershire Mini/junior circles. As always we are looking to increase the numbers in the  Junior/Mini section. Everyone is welcome and fun is the principle aim. We have five fully qualified coaches. In recognition of the work in this section we were recently awarded year one status RFU seal of Approval.
